If you’re taking a road trip soon; then you may be a little worried about keeping your kids entertained. Look no further; I have a great list of activities and car games to keep your kids entertained!
First of all; check out your local Dollar Tree for new toys and crafts they can do. Then each hour; pull out a new item for them to play with.
Dollar Tree has some awesome cookie sheets that work very well with magnets. We were able to pick up some magnetic dolls that had clothes you could put on; fun for at least an hour and was only $2.00 total! And they still use the dolls on our fridge years later. Here are a few other ideas with magnets.
First of all; are you organized? Having and organizer to put easy to reach items can help for a smooth trip.
Will it be a long trip, or during nap time? A travel pillow can help keep your kids comfortable!
Are your kids old enough for a camera? We’re taking an epic road-trip from Florida to Alaska (around 4,700 miles!) and I’m buying both my kids a camera and giving them a mission to take lots of photos so they can make a photo-book once we get settled in Alaska. It will keep them excited and hopefully make the road-trip a little more exciting for them.
Games On The Go takes the stress away from having to be creative.
We have this magnetic Hangman, and my kids love to play it!
Loaded Questions looks like a fun game for the whole family; I have it in my Amazon cart right now!
Surprise Ink is a fun marker that only shows color once they draw on the included paper. Comes in several designs and great for toddlers and preschoolers!
Wikki Stix have given me plenty of quiet time as my kids make new shapes.
Test their memory!
If you have a crafty child; making bracelets can be a great way to spend a couple hours.
And if electronics will keep them busy, then set them up with the Fire Kids Edition Tablet. It even comes with a year of free apps!
Or bring their favorite DVDs and use a DVD player.
